Even the most luxurious of campers will only have so much space available inside. If you’re taking any sort of trip, it can be difficult to include all of the comforts you are likely used to from your every day life. The nature of traveling along winding and often uneven roads also tends to wreak havoc on anything you do happen to bring along with you. Fortunately, there have been quite a lot of advancements in the world of camper accessories over the years. If you’re making a check list of items you absolutely need to grab before your next big trip, make sure to include the following!
Foldaway Handy Mat
Many manufacturers such as Camco produce foldaway mats complete with handles that can be closed shut for easy storage. This is a must have if you’re going out with the intent to picnic or visit the likes of lakes or beaches. While many people opt to merely take towels to lay on, the cleanup can be difficult. Handy mats made with polypropylene are weather proof, resistant to mold and mildew, and can easily be cleaned off with a good shake and some simple soap and water.
Slip Stop Liners
One of the biggest problems with traveling in a camper is that the contents of your cabinets or shelving are likely to end up in disarray as soon as you run over a pothole or have to put on the brakes too quickly. With a slip stop liner, you can actually provide enough friction between the surface and anything you’re storing to keep everything stabilized. You can even trim sections to fit along the floor if need be!
Adjustable Refrigerator Bar
By the same token, your camper’s mini fridge is also likely to have its contents shaken all around in transit. You can purchase removable bars with adjustable lengths to give a bit more of a barrier between your fridge shelves and the door. You won’t have to worry about your milk or juice flying out and into the floor ever again!
One of the most shocking aspects of any camping trip is seeing just how quickly trash can accumulate. Rather than rely on stray bags or clumsy receptacles that are likely to fall over, you should put your trash away in a mountable trashcan. You can easily tuck one of these away on the inside of a cabinet door, out of sight and out of the way until you need it.
Another of the most useful camper accessories is a removable stove top cover. Many of the modern variety are made with the ability to fold back, creating a splash guard for the wall. This makes cleaning after you cook much easier. Best of all, the cover also manages to give you a bit more usable counter space whenever the stove isn’t in use. With such little room to work with, this can be a real life saver!
